An innovative program of Trinity Lutheran Church is its media ministry, referred to as Trinity TV. For over 20 years, Trinity Lutheran Church has been cablecasting their Sunday service to homes in the city of Reading and surrounding areas.
The media center is staffed by a professional Media Director but the majority
of the skill is supplied by 25 volunteers ranging from ages 8 to 65.
Trinity's media ministry is an important tradition – one which not only invites people in the local community into our congregation, but which also offers
an opportunity for those who are unable to attend worship to participate
via television.
The volunteers operate the four camera set-up, run graphics, direct, and control
the audio. A media committee, made up of members of the congregation, oversees the policies and procedures of the department. The service is sent live to the Reading Hospital and is later broadcast on Comcast Cable Channel 21.
Videotapes are supplied to local senior homes for viewing.
